Please read the following rules and guidelines very carefully. By becoming a member you agree to adhere to these guidelines. These guidelines are subject to change. Members that violate these rules may be banned or even disallowed from participating in this community.

1. Do not post any messages that contain offensive, obscene, vulgar, lewd, sexually-orientated, racist, hateful, threatening, or that otherwise violate any laws. Please use good judgment when choosing user names, avatars, or images to post, inappropriate content will be removed without notice. Further, posting offensive images or adding links to adult themed material will result an immediate ban.
2. Personal attacks, rudeness, insults to others, or arguments will not be tolerated either in the public forums nor in Private Topics. If you wish to challenge a member's point of view and opinions, then do so respectfully and thoughtfully.
3. Please make sure that your posts are positive, constructive, and on topic. We (the site administrator/moderators) may delete individual posts that could ruin a good topic thread.
4. We reserve the right to remove any topics we deem offensive, inappropriate or disruptive to our community. Please note that, from time to time, topics may be removed for being inappropriate even though your individual post in that topic may have been perfectly fine. Please do not feel this reflects badly on you.
5. Neither commercial advertising nor selling is permitted by end users of this community. Including your own affiliate links to products, software, hardware, applications etc. is not acceptable and said links will be removed from your posts. You may not use the Cyberwalker Tech Help Forums in any way to promote a web site, product or service. This will result in either being banned from the site for a period of time, or having your account deleted.
6. The Tech Help Forums is not responsible for anything you do as a result of information or advice obtained here. You should fully understand what a recommended change may do to your system. Always be sure to make regular backups of your important files, data, music, pictures, etc. in case of disaster.
7. Please do not post copyrighted articles from elsewhere on the Internet. You can either post a link to the article/material or alternatively place the article within a quote and state where the article has been obtained as well as providing a link to the original source material.
8. P2P applications may be discussed such as Azureus or uTorrent. HOWEVER any links, information or discussions on how to obtain items such as illegal software, MP3's, movies, etc. will be removed and your account can be suspended for two week period or you will be banned from participating in this community.
9. Fair Use/Backup of DVD's you have purchased commercially. Copyright laws may vary depending on where you live. While there may be discussion of backing up your DVD's, these fair use rights become null and void when you sell the media in question.
10. If you have an issue concerning our services, policies, or staff, please the 'Contact Us' form located under the Help navigation tab. We take serious issues to heart and will do our best to address them.
11. Users may not argue either a moderators and/or administrators decision publicly. One example of this is re-editing a post after it has been edited by either an administrator or moderator. Any and all issues should be brought up with the forum site administrator. The forum site administrator will consider the situation and decide on a course of action.
12. There will be no use of profanity. Some words may automatically be filtered by our forums software and replaced with [deleted word].
13. There will be no racial, ethnic, gender based insults or any other personal discriminations.
14. There will be no posts meant to offend or hurt any other member, in a manner which is offensive or inflammatory.
15. Spamming is not permitted, period. Doing so will result in an immediate ban - no exceptions.
16. The 'Contact Us' feature is NOT for tech support questions. Post your tech support issue in the forums.
17. Pornography, warez, or any other illegal transactions may NOT be linked in any shape or form - again you will be banned immediately for such behaviour.
18. All posts are property of the poster. However, if the post violates the forum rules - then it will be deleted.
19. Pictures may be posted as long as they are not explicit, offensive nor pornographic. Further, if it is found you are sending/sharing adult related/photographic material you will be immediately banned - no exceptions.
20. Signatures may contain images, or banners. However if the image or banner is overly large or the content is deemed unacceptable by staff, you will be requested by a moderator/administrator to resize or change your image. If this is not done within a reasonable amount of time from when the request was made, then it will be modified for you. Further, restoring or uploading a like offending image will result in a ban as that can be construed as arguing with the staff at these forums. If this behavior is repeated after an initial ban - you will no longer be allowed to participate in this community.
21. Please also try and keep text signatures under 5 lines. Failing to comply with a moderator/administrator request will result in the removal of your signature.
22. Remember to post in the correct forum. Take your time to look at other topics and see where your topic should go. If your topic is placed in the wrong forum, it will be moved by a moderator.
23. If a topic is recognized as being posted in the wrong forum, or if the post is a violation of our guidelines then please contact a moderator either via PT or email; please do not respond publicly to the member - a member of staff will do what is required upon contact. Any impersonation of a member from these forums, in any mode of communication, is strictly prohibited and will result in a banning.
24. If you are linking to external content, you should link directly to that content. It is unacceptable to use link-thru systems to mask the originating URL, and cases where this is found to be happening may be edited or removed as appropriate.
25. We do not and will not share your information with 3rd parties. We do however reserve the right to periodically send you e-mail messages regarding promotional material pertaining to Cyberwalker/Slurp Media.
26. Using the Private Topic feature or Shout Box to promote your web site, selling something, or is used to send spam to other forum members is prohibited. If it is reported that you are doing so, your account will be suspended for two weeks. If you persist in doing this after your two week suspension your account will be deleted and you will not longer be permitted to continue participating in this community.
27. We employ an e-mail verification mechanism in order to register with this community. This is in place to prevent fake registration attempts. You must also verify that your e-mail address is valid within 24 hours of signing up otherwise your registration will be rejected. Also be advised it can take up to 24 to 48 hours before your account is activated once you verify your e-mail address is verified, please be patient.
28. The Administrators, Super Moderators and Moderators of this forum DO NOT answer personal tech help questions made via the Private Topic mechanism. If you want personalized one-on-one assistance please click here.
29. We reserve the right to edit your post comments to add revenue context sensitive links or ads.
30. You need to be at least 13 years old to register for these forums.
