Does anyone know of a place to get an inexpensive IDE laptop hard drive? I have an old Dell laptop that I would like to get another hard drive for.

On a side note, is there any way to use a SATA hard drive in a laptop that has an IDE connector?

You could consider the Dell web page for an IDE hard drive replacement.

The other consideration is using a SATA drive with an adapter, while it may likely work I am not sure how well the drive will fit inside the computer with the adapter sandwiched between the motherboard and the drive. This might not allow you to seat and close the drive properly.
